EuroMillions is a lottery played across nine European countries – the UK, Ireland, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal and Switzerland. The game launched on 7th February, 2004, and nowaday with the advancement of the Internet, players outside Europe can also buy and win EuroMillions lottery prizes through famous Lottery Courier Service like theLotter, for example.
“There’s big and there’s EuroMillions big! This is the game with jackpots so enormous you can probably see them from space. Truly mind-boggling, these are the kind of prizes that can have you living the dreams,” it states.
The draw takes place every Tuesday and Friday evening at 8pm. Players have to choose five main numbers from one to 50, along with two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12.
You can either pick the numbers yourself, purchase a Lucky Dip or use a random number generator to create an entry. You can enter up to seven lines on a single play slip at a UK retailer.
Purchase your entries before the cutoff time for that draw and remember, if playing on a draw day, that means you’ll need to buy your ticket before 7.30pm. Relax and wait for the results!
You have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim EuroMillions prizes in the UK. Most winners will claim within the first few days or weeks of finding out that they’ve won, but there is certainly no obligation to do so. Your claim will be valid at any time within the 180-day window.
The most important thing to do is keep your ticket safe until the claim process is underway. If you lose your ticket you may still be able to claim a prize but you must make contact with the National Lottery within 30 days. Lottery officials will then conduct rigorous security checks to validate your claim.
Now that the jackpot has been won, it will reset to its base amount of €17 million. EuroMillions draws take place on Tuesday and Friday evenings, so there are two chances a week for you to become the next jackpot winner.
